Psychedelic Substance Guides

First, what are psychedelics?

Psychedelics are psychoactive substances that trigger non-ordinary mental states (known as "trips") and produce changes in conscious experience. This can include changes in perception, feelings, cognition and emotions.

The term psychedelic was coined by the psychiatrist Humphrey Osmond, derived from the Greek words ψυχή psychḗ 'soul or mind' and δηλείν dēleín'to manifest', with the intended meaning "mind manifesting,".

The classic psychedelics—LSD, psilocybin, mescaline, and DMT—affect the brain’s serotonin system.

Other substances with known hallucinogenic properties, like ketamine and MDMA, have different targets in the brain but still produce some psychedelic effects.

Our goal is to take a harm reduction approach, and help people on their psychedelic journey - arming you with all the information you need, in a matter of fact and unbiased way.

So we’ve created no BS guides for all the major psychedelics. They cover comprehensive information about various aspects of each major psychedelic, including the history, pharmacology, effects, dosage information and research. You can access the full library below...
